		Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. An RFID tag is an object that can be stuck on or incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification using radio waves. Some tags can be read from several meters away and beyond the line of sight of the reader.		Stock and human tracking systems consist of implanting RFID tags on items, human worn accessories or even inside the skin, then sensing devices are set in a defined perimeter allowing continuous round the clock monitoring of every movement affecting the item or the person. This is particularly effective in high value retail shops, inventory locations and places requiring personnel monitoring.
