Meter Reading Systems© consist of software applications interfacing any database platform. The system manages the daily routine of the meter collectors by defining the areas and buildings to visit as well as transferring from these collectors the daily transactions. The meter reading systems are add-on systems for existing billing applications.

The application readily requires a number of handheld PDA devices to equip the meter collectors and a program that interfaces with the central transaction collection system of an existing billing application.

Mobile Intelligence™ also offers a complete automated system for electricity meter readers to collect, with no human interface, the information of the amounts chronically spent on each dwelling.

These handheld PDA devices are equipped with several options:
	GIS/GPS system that enables the operator to identify the area of the operation.
	Optical readers, both barcode or photometric to record the reading from each meter.
	Error validation systems to check previous balance.
	Complete online system using the electrical distribution system for electricity meter reading.
